A variety of lodging choices  

Ishobe can accommodate up to 15 guests in private rooms, as well as an additional 15 tent campers. All buildings have been constructed by men and women from the surrounding community and the furniture is made on premises from reclaimed wood. Modern bathrooms and satellite internet ensure complete comfort.


Farm-to-table dining

You will enjoy meals sourced directly from the farm and the village market, ensuring a genuine farm-to-table experience. Our talented chef uses the abundance and diversity of fresh local vegetables, fruits, nuts, and herbs as well as our own milk and eggs to prepare delicious and healthy meals. Choose from a selection of local and international beers at our bar.

Ishobe 

Ishobe is an ancient pattern derived from the Kinyarwanda verb “gushoberwa,” which means to experience the possibility of overcoming difficult situations. It is a stand-alone cabin with two twin beds and a private bathroom.   Premium cabins   

Our premium cabins offer traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort while keeping you connected to nature. Thick stone walls keep the room cool and quiet. A large glass door opens to the view of the farm and valley below. You’ll want to stay a little longer in bed each morning to breathe in the sweet fragrance of the flowering trees and let the singing of the birds wake you up.   

Impano  

Impano means “gift.”  It is a stand-alone cabin with a double bed and private bathroom.  IFUNDI

Named after Rwandan smallest bird, the room is cozy yet full of light and charm. Though intimate in size, its wide door and window opening to garden views and natural light.

ISINDE   

The Isinde Room takes its name from —the traditional shade or covering worn by Rwanda’s cow keepers to protect themselves offering sense of connection to pastoral life.

Insina  

Step into the charm of Ishobe with our Insina Room, a cozy and inviting space designed for rest and renewal. This name is after the beloved and cultural banana plant insina in Kinyarwanda. This room embodies warmth, nourishment, and connection to nature.

Inka   

Our Inka Room is a gentle tribute to Rwanda’s cherished long-horned cows—inka—symbols of abundance, beauty, and cultural pride. Located right next to the Insina Room, it offers comfort with a touch of tradition.

 Single rooms 

Our three rooms on the second floor above the dining building provide breathtaking valley views from a wraparound balcony. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of the majestic Muhabura Volcano. Wake up to nature’s beauty and perhaps enjoy some guided yoga right on your private terrace. 

Whether you are traveling solo or with friends you’ll find these rooms inspire creativity while allowing you to unwind and relax in comfort. The three rooms share a bathroom.

 

Inanga

Inanga is a traditional Rwandan sitar. Single bed and shared bathroom.
